The 2025 International Conference on Internet of Things, Data Science and Advanced Computing (IDSAC 2025) successfully concluded at Guangdong Polytechnic of Science and Technology on July 12. Guided by the Computer Academy of Guangdong, the conference was hosted by Zhuhai Computer Federation and Macao Technology And Cultural Exchange Association, and undertaken by Guangdong Polytechnic of Science and Technology. It was co-organized by Macao Computer Society, Macau University of Science and Technology, Macao Polytechnic University, Beijing Normal University At Zhuhai, Sun Yat-sen University (Zhuhai Campus), Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou University, Southern University of Science and Technology, Beijing Normal University – Hong Kong Baptist University United International College, Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University, and South China Normal University. Nearly 100 experts, scholars and industry representatives from home and abroad gathered together to discuss cutting-edge technological breakthroughs and industrial applications in artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and data science.
At the opening ceremony, Li Dalin, Vice Chairman of the Zhuhai Computer Federation, Mr. Wan Kammeng, President of the Macao Computer Society, and Zhang Jun, Vice Dean of the School of Computer Engineering and Technology (School of Artificial Intelligence) of Guangdong Polytechnic of Science and Technology, delivered speeches respectively, while Professor Liu Chang from Guangdong University of Technology served as the host. During the conference, the Macao Technology And Cultural Exchange Association was formally established, and witnessed by the participating experts, it signed a landmark strategic cooperation agreement with the Zhuhai Computer Federation.
The conference focused on cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence algorithms, Internet of Things technology, signal and image processing, and information education technology, with many renowned scholars delivering wonderful keynote reports. Professor Jia Weijia from Beijing Normal University At Zhuhai systematically elaborated on “LLM-Edges AI Collaborative Scheduling Mechanism and Applications”, proposing an innovative edge computing architecture that enables efficient distributed deployment of AI models. Professor Huang Jing from Beijing Normal University At Zhuhai, in her report “DeepSeek for Future Wisdom: AI Tools Reshaping the Paradigm of Innovative Thinking”, deeply explored how artificial intelligence tools reconstruct scientific research and innovation methodologies. Professor Liu Chang from Guangdong University of Technology shared the research results on “Collaborative Management of Caching, Communication and Computing Resources in Vehicular Edge Systems”, whose innovative scheme can significantly improve the response efficiency of intelligent transportation systems. Professor Yang Zhongming from Guangdong Polytechnic of Science and Technology, with the title “Human-Machine Collaborative Symbiotic Evolution – Innovation and Practice of AI Empowering Vocational Education”, demonstrated innovative application cases of AI technology in the education field. Professor Chen Min from South China University of Technology, targeting current research hotspots, detailed “Large Language Model (LLM) Fine-tuning: Opportunities and Challenges”, providing important references for related research. After each report, participating experts and scholars conducted enthusiastic discussions, with a strong academic atmosphere on site and continuous collision of ideological sparks. The conference also set up wonderful oral reports and poster display sessions, adding a strong atmosphere of academic exchange to the conference.
This conference not only showcased the cutting-edge achievements of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science, but also built an interdisciplinary and cross-regional academic exchange platform. It has injected new impetus into the in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, and will surely promote the innovative application and industrial upgrading of intelligent technology in more fields.
